This company is a technology services provider; supporting its customers through the complex lifecycle of their assets from acquisition through to retirement, including the supply of all the resources required to consult, support and project management throughout the journey. They have an excellent portfolio of customers across Retail, Telecoms and Financial Services. As a leading IT services and consulting provider they provide on-site and remote managed services and anything else of the infrastructure lifecycle!

They are now looking to hire a Datacentre Break/Fix hardware Engineer in their managed services team on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Diagnosing all server faults and liaising with various teams locally and remotely to resolution of all incident tickets.
- Managing parts stock levels and close attention to detail will be required
- Hardware break fix calls are around 10-15 a month - in the time there is no hardware calls you will be helping us do first line support on the infrastructure we support so this is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop your skills in VMware and infrastructure.

There would also be occasional travel expected to various sites, in particular, Swindon, London, Birmingham with normal office hours from 9pm-5pm with an on-call rota that you will be involved in every other week.

Skills and Experience:

- Experience of working within a live Data Centres environments.
- Have strong knowledge of servers (HP, Sun , Oracle).
- Ability to investigate and provide RCA to the business.
- Understanding of cabling and networking infrastructure within a Datacentre.
- Hardware parts installation / replacement for fault support and upgrades.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux and or Hp-Ux advantageous.
- Ability to manage own time efficiently when solo working.
- Possess current Driving License.
- Must be able to pass a security check.
- Demonstrate good communication skills with employees, contractors, suppliers and customers.
