About the Team Our 60-strong team of corporate lawyers has extensive experience in delivering the full range of corporate advice ranging from public and private mergers and acquisitions, investments and restructurings to joint ventures and listings. Our team includes the heads of a number of specialist sectors, including the Automotive and Tech sector and also the leaders of some of the firm's international desks (the US, Nordics, Germany and India). We, therefore, combine this specialist sector and international knowledge to deliver a dedicated and personal service for our diverse client base comprising multi-national corporations, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, start-ups and high net worth individuals. Main Purpose of the Job To undertake a wide spectrum of high quality corporate work - principally mergers and acquisitions, private equity, equity capital markets, joint ventures and group restructurings. Main Duties and Responsibilities The business of the team is growing and we are looking for lawyers at the Senior Associate and/or Principal Associate level to join us and assist us in delivering the very best client experience. You will work as part of client teams with the ability to develop long-term trusted relationships, you will work with all of the partners and directors across the range of corporate work-types and you will have the opportunity to develop your own business development initiatives and improve your professional skills. Key skills and experience A solid grounding in Corporate law (commensurate with experience) with an appetite for excellent client service and a desire to be the best they can be. We are looking for lawyers who are: team-spirited technically excellent commercial with an ability to think on their feet and exercise sound judgement able to develop relationships with colleagues, clients and their peers externally ambassadors for the corporate team and Gowling WLG keen to expand their knowledge base and skills.
