One of the Europe's largest advertising organisations is looking to hire an experienced Pricing & Commercial Insight Manager.

The company is on a journey to becoming a Digital Media Company powered by data, with plenty of ongoing projects underway that you'll be a part of from day one.

Purpose of the role

To implement revenue management strategies and processes, in order to optimise and maximise company revenues. To manage the provision/creation of reports to the business which analyse the revenue/occupancy/price performance of the businesses inventory, including ad-hoc reports and general data analyses. Provide support to the Head of Pricing & Commercial Insight.

  • Implement revenue management operations, procedures and best practices
  • Identify new revenue opportunities
  • Embed a revenue management culture
  • Provision of relevant insight to ensure all areas of the company achieve revenue & profit targets
  • Analyse overall monthly performance and provide summary report with recommendations to improve long term strategies

  • Understand revenue and inventory performance trends paying particular attention to key revenue drivers
  • Detailed understanding of in-house data base to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Keep abreast of company developments and new IT systems to ensure reports are adjusted to incorporate any relevant changes
  • Understanding of other department functions and how the team can interact effectively with them to help drive the business forward and increase revenue
  • Input into new IT systems and other relevant IT initiatives

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Pricing & Commercial Insight
  • Oversee revenue management strategy and manage day to day yield operations
  • Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting
  • Perform competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends
  • Create and develop pricing strategies in conjunction with the individuality of products
  • Ensure Pricing system is maintained up-to-date and functional
  • Ensure team members are fully competent in the use of all systems
  • Prepare outline for and support the annual revenue budget process
  • Contribute new ideas to enhance reporting performance by the department for the company, including IT liaison as appropriate
  • Respond to ad hoc complex reporting requests from the business in a clear, accurate and timely manner

Experi ence

  • 2 - 4 years of hands-on Revenue Management experience
  • People performance management, including training and development
  • Ability to create and manage large datasets
  • Advance knowledge of Excel, including the use of time saving macros (VBAs)
  • Competent IT with good knowledge of all other MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of BI systems an advantage

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level preferred although not essential
  • Must be numerate and analytical
