Swanage Pier Trust is looking for an experienced person with a background in volunteer and event management. The Volunteer & Events Coordinator will have responsibility for increasing the volunteer support base and delivering volunteer training. The management and delivery of public events and community activities will also be important parts of the role together with social media and website development. This is a Heritage Lottery funded post, initially for 3 years. Summary of key tasks; To recruit, process and train volunteers to support all Swanage Pier activities To provide the overall management and coordination of volunteer activity To develop and deliver a programme of events To promote Pier activities, events and volunteer opportunities through social media, printed materials and advertising Experience & Skills Educated to degree level or equivalent Minimum of 2 years' experience of working in a management/recruitment role Experience of recruiting volunteers Volunteer/staff training experience Event planning and management Experience of marketing and publicity Please see full job specification in 'Additional documents' above Interviews: w/c Monday 14th May 2018
