Tax Senior

Our client is a successful, growing firm of Chartered Accountants based in Newbury, Hungerford and Swindon, that take a practical, common-sense view to complex issues.

Due to ongoing business growth they have a vacancy for an ATT qualified personal tax technician to join their successful team. The role is predominantly compliance based but offers exposure to tax planning work where the client portfolio permits. Technical progression is achievable within the role.

The successful candidate will have strong technical understanding of tax legislation and proven practical experience in at least three of the following areas: income tax and national insurance compliance under Self-Assessment, capital gains tax compliance and planning, basic inheritance tax and trusts knowledge, understanding and advising on the tax issues surrounding share schemes (EMI, SIP, SAYE); knowledge of IR35 intermediary issues and able to discuss employment versus self-employment and ‘the badges of trade’. In addition they will have excellent customer relationship management skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional and personal growth and development.
