Our client is looking for a Site Surveyor to take accountability for the development, implementation of all pre and post contract strategies, commercial functions and contract reporting. You will be reporting to the Surveying Manager.

Main responsibilities:-

Health & Safety
• Regularly review subcontract safety audits prior to payment authorisation.
• Actively promote group SHE Policies.
• Periodically undertake site safety samples
• Ensure all subcontract documentation is SHE Group policy compliant.

People
• Ensures PDR's A&B, Training Manuals are completed regularly for report and self.
• Provides or organises training on group policies and best practices where appropriate.
• Develops and encourages project team performance.
Leadership
• Ensure all team members understand project accountabilities and objectives.
• Regularly reviews project accountabilities.
• Regularly monitors project objectives facilitates a change in process where appropriate.

CR
• Regularly reviews group CR policies and ensures project teams are updated.
Liaises with client and project teams to maximise group CR policies and or opportunities. Finance/Budget/Performance Objectives
• Demonstrates understanding of internal and external tender strategies / build up.
• Ensure Company main contractual obligations and or strategies are executed and regularly reviewed.
• Agree and implement project strategies with all relevant parties.
• Agree external valuations / cash flow to maximise project value.
• Ensure all Company subcontract management / process obligations are complete with particular reference to:-
• Procurement
• Measurement and valuation
• Contractual instructions / notices / orders
• Health and Safety
• Complete and submit Group / Business Unit report
• Monthly MCR
• Procurement reports
• Progress reports (with PM)
• Interact with the project team to maximise project procurement, production and commercial strategies.
• Agree and produce main and subcontract final accounts with Surveying Manager.

Customer
• Contributes to the development of customer plans and sells the Company brands and services to all project parties.
• Develops beneficial relationships with the client and all consultants.
• Demonstrates understanding of business issues that affect the project consultant teams.

Process
• Ensures all contractual processes are completed on time.
• Implements project strategies to maximise turnover, cash, profit, customer satisfaction and repeat business

Knowledge:
• Construction methods and technology
• Measurement and valuation
• Subcontract orders and buying
• A solid knowledge of claims and L& E

Qualifications:
• MSc or BA in Quantity Surveying or similar relevant experience
• The ability to form and develop relationships with PQS, design team and supply chain
• Strong commercial skills to maximise value recovery, cost control and cash management
• Ability to use / understand financial reports and final accounts
• Ability to develop commercial site teams
