Our teams support our IT Infrastructure, IT Service Delivery and IT Applications along with delivering IT Change across a diverse portfolio of projects and "business as usual" initiatives. We engage with our business stakeholders and external suppliers in order to deliver the right solutions for Wates.

The role

As an IT Management Graduate, you will be given the opportunity to develop your knowledge, skills and experience across all areas of IT, on a rotational basis, to develop a full and rounded understanding of our IT function. You'll have the opportunity to gain experience within:
  • Infrastructure & Service Delivery - to develop an understanding of all aspects of our IT Operations, from 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support services to IT Security and Site Set Ups
  • Applications - to ensure our IT applications deliver for the business and are fit for purpose and resilient
  • Major Projects - to gain an understanding of our full IT project delivery processes, including defining requirements, developing solutions and delivering on time, on budget and at a high standard
  • Portfolio Management & Enterprise Architecture - to understand project controls, reporting and quality standards, along with our architecture design processes, standards and principles
  • On completion of the programme, you will have the opportunity to progress your career towards IT Business Analyst within our Major Projects team. You will also work towards achieving Certification with the International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA)

What we're looking for
  • 2:1 degree and at least B in Maths and English GCSE, ideally in Business, Management, IT or other relevant degree
  • Genuine interest in IT and Business Management
  • Interest and ability to analyse information and work with complex technical information
  • Ability to communicate with people across a range of disciplines
  • Logical approach to problem solving
  • Keen eye for detail
