Our client is one of the largest registered providers of social housing based solely in the North West of England with 35,000 homes across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire.

They currently comprise of five member organisations committed to the regeneration and sustainability of their region; united by a common purpose – to make a positive difference in the communities they serve

As part of a continued focus on developing and shaping their customer services and supporting their People strategy, they are looking for a Learning & Development Specialist (one post) to join their People Team.

Reporting to and working closely with the Learning & Development Manager, you will analyse training requirements across the business and identifying and delivering a range of L&D interventions that drive performance improvement and deliver business objectives.  You will support and continuously improve an effective performance management process across the business and support the development of comprehensive training plans; undertaking a full training needs analysis to inform the development of a Corporate Training Plan, ensuring learning is evaluated and effective.

You will design, deliver and commission as appropriate corporate learning activities across the business, including e-learning, managing contracts with external training providers to ensure good value for money, whilst maintaining and monitoring all employee training records ensuring that all mandatory training is completed and recorded effectively.  Support the development and maintain a comprehensive training catalogue across the business ensuring this continues to meet the needs of the business and delivers good value for money.

Working closely with the L&D Manager, you will support the implementation and maintenance of an effective annual colleague survey, supported by regular pulse surveys across the business, supporting the communication of the results and monitoring subsequent action plans.

It is essential you have experience of working in a service environment, with a strong emphasis on great customer service.  You should have up to date knowledge of Organisational Development practice and proven experience of the complete training cycle – design, delivery & evaluation.  You should have experience of working to deadlines with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively with excellent oral and written communications.  Relevant professional qualification and/or equivalent experience is essential.
