HR Business Partner (Reward & Engagement)


Salary: Fixed Point Salary (£35,000 - £37,500)

Permanent – Full-time

Our client is one of the largest registered providers of social housing based solely in the North West of England with 35,000 homes across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire.

They currently comprise of five member organisations committed to the regeneration and sustainability of their region; united by a common purpose – to make a positive difference in the communities they serve

As part of a continued focus on developing and shaping their customer services and supporting their People strategy, they are looking for a HR Business Partner – Reward & Engagement (one post) to join our People Team. 

Reporting to the Head of Learning, Reward & Engagement, you will deliver an effective & customer focused HR Advisory service, underpinned by a suite of HR Policies and with portfolio responsibility for Reward & Engagement as your specialism.  You will develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including staff representatives across the business; providing HR solutions to support the delivery of business plans and objectives.  Working in partnership with Senior Managers you will advise and undertaking complex employee relations casework, support and undertake change projects and initiatives, taking the lead as required.  You will monitor management information across a range of performance indicators, proactively highlighting any trends in performance and/or behaviours across the business, providing proposed solutions to mitigate risk.

As your specialism of Reward & Engagement, you will support all employee engagement activity and initiatives including, JNCC, regular Employee Surveys and subsequent Action Plans working closely with the Learning & Development Manager.  You will support colleagues through organisational change and implement and maintain a robust change framework ensuring clarity and consistency supporting cultural change across the Business. Working closely with the Head of Learning, Reward & Engagement, you will support a robust job evaluation scheme, maintaining relevant job descriptions across the business and conducting relevant benchmarking on both an annual and ad-hoc basis, whilst supporting the development and maintenance of a competitive Salary Framework and competitive and affordable Reward package. 

It is essential you have significant experience of working in HR with experience of working in a shared service, multi-site and disciplinary environment, with a strong emphasis on great customer service and handling complex employee relations matters.  You should have excellent working knowledge of Employment Law and best practice with significant experience of managing and maintaining job evaluation and salary frameworks, change management and cultural development.  You should have excellent oral and written communications.  It is essential you are CIPD Qualified or equivalent experience.
