About the role:
This post will provide a direct social work service to young people aged 16-24 with cancer who live in and around the surrounding areas.
We are looking for an experienced professional, qualified in social work with knowledge and experience around this specialist area of work. This is a temporary maternity cover position based at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
About you:
As well as current HCPC registration you will have:
-Significant experience of working young people and their families/carers in a social care setting
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment
-Knowledge of child and young people development
-An understanding of the impact of serious illness for children, young people and families.
-It is desirable that you have experience working in an NHS setting.
