Our client, a highly reputable landscape gardening firm, is looking for a Gardener to become part of their team for 2018. 

Driving license essential. You must also be over 25 due to insurance purposes.

Previous experience is advantageous yet not essential. However, you will have a passion for working outside and have an appreciation for gardens.

The role will include all aspects of landscape care and occasionally some landscaping projects.

In addition to mowing and trimming, you will weed borders, be diligent in clearing garden waste and use your initiative to see what else might need doing in the garden. It is also essential that you can work wellwithin a team.

You will work on a vast array of projects for commercial properties, such as blocks of flats, private clients andthe grounds for some very high-quality properties

The landscaping work carried out is usually turf laying and planting of new shrubs and other plants and fencing.

Essential

• Over 25
• Driving License
• Punctual, polite and cooperative
• Work well in a team

Desirable

• Previous experience or knowledge of horticulture

Responsibilities and Duties

• Mowing
• Strimming
• Hedge Cutting
• Weeding
• Carrying
• Digging

You will be expected to demonstrate safely the use of the following after a short period of time (2-3 weeks):

• Short and long arm hedge cutters
• Mowers
• Strimmers
• Blowers

You will also be expected share the same duties as all other members of staff.

• Pruning
• Using blowers
