The Coal Authority has an exciting opportunity for an Admin Officer to join the team based in Mansfield. You will work on a full time, permanent basis and receive a highly competitive salary of £14,992 - £19,564 per annum (dependant on experience).

Are you an experienced Admin Officer with a planning department/local authority/public sector body background?, who can provide a full administrative support service to the department, analyse data, create, maintain and archive files, manage stakeholders and seek opportunities for improved efficiencies in working practices.

Admin Officer – Job Role

Working within the Development team, this role will work across the planning and permitting departments supporting the principal managers. Alongside those duties expected of an experienced Administration Officer, you will also be involved in providing effective front line customer care and support.

As our Admin Officer you will be:

- To support the delivery of the Planning & Permitting functions including

- Registering plans & documentation for statutory/other consultations, commercial work and corporate projects

- Assisting in managing information including maintenance of Planning records and databases

- Supporting the preparation of planning applications

-  Undertaking taking payments and keeping accurate records

- Dealing with customer queries

- Supporting the interface between Planning registration and output functions

- Assistance with the organisation of team events, meetings etc.

- Assisting in the interaction required between the Planning team and the business

- To deliver the administrative function of the permitting process

- To liaise with customers on permit applications

- Provide administrative support to team meetings

- To issue KPI's from the permit process

- To assist in the registering of commercial work

- Ordering of mining reports etc. in association with permit and commercial work

Our ideal Admin Officer will need:

- Previous experience in an administrative role within a planning department/local authority/public sector body

- Experience of dealing with the public

- A desire to work in the planning sector and to develop their skills

- Experience of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

- Experience of data input, management and analysis

- Experience of payment systems

- Strong MS Office and analytical skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- The ability to support key stakeholders at all levels

- Excellent administrative skills demonstrating attention to detail

- The ability to manage varied tasks whilst prioritising your workload
