As a Children Support Worker you will be working in residential settings across Manchester (Depending on where you live and where you can get to). The role itself means you will be supporting children and young people with every aspect of their lifes which could include days out, trips away, shopping, cinema and home life! Whilst you can have a lot of fun there is also a really important part of your job which is to make sure the children and young people are kept safe and they are being supported emotionally.
The children and young people that we support are different in their own unique ways and some of them need to have extra support with the behaviour and life skills so with this in mind you will need to have experience working with Children for at least 12 months.
Once you have been in touch to let us know you are interested the next step is to invite you in to our Branch based in Manchester City Centre to have a brew, bring your ID in and complete some paper work. This gives us a chance to get a really good understanding of the sort of work you want. Once you have been in then there is some online training you will need to complete but if you have a care certificate you get to skip this part!!
If you would like more information about the shifts that we have available and the types of service we work with please call Lisa on 0161 228 6168 or email your CV
