Chief Finance Officer

Extend Learning Academy Network (ELAN) became a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) on 1st October 2017 as a result, the Trust Central Services team wishes to recruit a commercially focussed Chief Finance Officer

Purpose of the Role

The role of Chief Finance Officer calls for a finance professional with the necessary experience, skills and personal qualities to be able to operate as part of a close-knit senior team. This is a key role leading the finance function whilst providing a robust financial infrastructure as well as an excellent opportunity to play an important and active part in the strategic direction of this forward looking, successful and thriving Trust.

Strategic

• Providing strategic advice to the CEO, Trust Board and senior managers on all issues relating to financial matters.
• Preparing the Trust’s annual financial forecasts, forecasts for corporate strategies and plans in consultation with the principal and senior colleagues, and developing and implementing strategies for maximising the Trust’s current finances.

Operational

• Providing the financial lead to the strategic planning process, including: annual budgets, periodic forecasts and funding requirements.

The appointed candidate must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for business and commuting use.
