My client- a reputable IT company are looking to recruit a Technical Project Manager to supervise and support the Software Development & Testing Team at one for their main Branches in Devon- the other one based in Cornwall. As the PM your main purpose of the position is to plan, manage each project, develop and release undertakings to customers in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires a dynamic, organised and experienced Technical PM to carry out primary tasks including but not limited to the following;

Key Responsibilities:

-          Develop a knowledge and understanding of all projects in the portfolio, to discuss and convey to colleagues and customers in detail

-          Work closely with senior management to fulfil business requirements per their requirements

-          Develop effective working relationships and manage each stage of the project processes

-          Ensure that all periodic and regular plans and documents are reviewed and updated in a timely manner

-          Define all resource requirements for projects and manage them their development per the time specified for each

-          Budget control, manage and ensure all projects/ stages of project are successfully completed within the financial specifications

-          Effectively communicate with inhouse and third- party representatives

-          Monitor and escalate unresolved development issues in milestones

-          Aid in planning deployments

-          Liaise with the accounts department with regards to invoicing based projects

-          When faced with problems, analyse and provide adequate resolutions

-          Be the main point of contact for both


-          Ideal candidate mist be educated to degree level in Business Management or equivalent. APM, PMP or Prince 2

-          Experience implementing software projects successfully and in a timely manner

-          Experience managing a team

-          Demonstrate software application management

-          Presentable and a strong ability to communicate effectively with clients both over the phone and more importantly face to face

-          Excellent Negotiating skills

-          Experience working with the whole project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage, in the depths of system testing and each stage in between

-          Thorough knowledge of MS Project, Agile and development and Prince 2.

-          Previous experience working directly with IT Systems

-          Must be a team player and can manage and lead team to ensure thorough execution of Project
