Heads of Service Education and Learning
Children's services in Buckinghamshire are on a journey of continuous improvement. Education and Learning are at the centre of everything we do.
We are seeking to recruit to a number of senior posts within our children's education and learning service who will have the drive, resilience and ambition to take forward our strategy, and ensure that it is successfully brought into play by providing clear leadership across the service. It's about top-level ideas and high-end delivery. And just as much as it's about improving outcomes for children, it's also about improving value for money for the council.
Head of Specialist Educational Needs will act as lead officer for the County's provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, providing strategic policy direction and leadership, operational management and financial control for the service area, statutory duties and strategic function within the County Council.
Head of Learning and Achievement plays a key role in realising the ambitions of the Education and Skills Strategy so that all children and young people in Buckinghamshire reach their full potential.
Head of Pupil Placed Planning and Organisation will respond creatively and swiftly to the challenges of a changing educational landscape and ensuring sufficient high quality education places are available for all children and young people across Buckinghamshire.
Principal Educational Psychologist will show an understanding of the unique contribution psychologists can make for children and young people with a wide range of needs, as well as being able to demonstrate a positive impact on outcomes including academic, social, emotional and mental wellbeing. This will include an unwavering commitment to evidence-based practice
