IT Support Engineer

A fantastic opportunity is available for an IT Support Engineer to join a world class, market leader in the manufacturing of automatic combustion equipment. Based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, the successful IT Support Engineer will work full time, earning a salary of £22,000 - £28,000 depending on experience.

The company exports to over 40 countries worldwide and serves a broad range of blue chip customers. As an IT Support Engineer, you will be working within a small IT team and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the network. Additional key duties will include, but are not limited to: 

• Responsible for logging, updating and resolving IT related issues
• Interpret user needs
• Collating sufficient information to identify solutions
• Provide excellent telephone support and customer service
• Maintain internal IT systems

To be considered for the role of IT Support Engineer you must possess an IT qualification/ degree. In addition, the following key skills and experience are ideal, but not a necessity as their key focus will be placed on individuals who have some of the core skills and a willingness to learn:

• Knowledge of O/S, Servers, Active Directory/Group Policy
• Good networking knowledge (DHCP/DNS)
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Virtualisation
