Summary
At the National Trust, we love places. We take care of some of the nations most treasured landscapes and protecting their health, beauty and value is at the core of our ten-year strategy. As an Estate Manager and Chartered Rural Surveyor you'll be a leader in delivering the modern, progressive land management approach we need to do this.
The National Trust has over 255,000 hectares of land, of which about 80% is farmed by tenants. We also have 4,133 rented cottages, 1,978 commercial tenancies, 1,806 agricultural tenancies, 1,014 wayleaves and easements and an investment and operational property portfolio valued at GBP82.87m, of which GBP66.35m is specified as investment property. The management of these tenancies and assets, together with the relationship with our tenants, underpins our GBP40m+ annual rental income and is absolutely essential to the delivery of our conservation work.

Hardwick Hall is one of the most impressive Elizabethan buildings in the country. Celebrated internationally, the committed team works hard to care for the property's astonishing artefacts, including one of the finest collections of textiles in Europe. This is a busy, forward-thinking property and the team is looking for engaging people who will enjoy this fast-paced environment.
The Estate Manager for the above portfolio will report into the Hardwick Consultancy Hub at our Hardwick Estate near Chesterfield.
