Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• PhD or Masters (or equivalent degree) in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Statistics, or Mathematics.
• Experience in academia or industry.
• Ability to read, understand, and implement techniques from academic papers.

• A passion for excellence and quality.
• Excellent coding skills, ideally in Python, Matlab, or Julia.
• Familiarity with revision control systems, ideally git.
• Familiarity with Unix-like system environments (such as Linux and/or MacOSX)
Desired (but optional) Bonus Skills
• Bayesian inference, probabilistic modelling, or statistical inference.
• Gaussian processes.
• Databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with additional programming languages.
• Familiarity with numerical computing and numerical stability.
• TeX / LaTeX for document publishing.
• Team leadership and project management skills.
