Programme Coordinator Newcastle
Programme Coordinators are responsible for overseeing Action Tutoring's programmes in their region, liaising with our partner schools, supporting and engaging pupils, managing our pool of volunteer tutors and driving the quality of the programmes. A high proportion of time is spent in partner schools, working directly with key stakeholders. You would also be expected to spend time on programme administration, for example data collection, monitoring and ensuring high attendance of pupils and tutors, and communicating with volunteer tutors and teachers in between sessions when needed. The position would suit someone who enjoys working with people in a frontline role, wanting to gain experience of performing an autonomous role in an exciting and rapidly developing charity, managing multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate should have excellent attention to detail and be willing to carry out administrative tasks to support programme delivery. Although working remotely, you will be expected to engage regularly with the wider team, including a weekly call with your line manager, a weekly call with other Programme Coordinators and attendance at termly team days. Comprehensive induction and training will be provided. Action Tutoring is committed to providing development opportunities for its staff, and as a growing charity there are plenty of opportunities to take on new areas of responsibility. Please see more details in the attached job description.
