Job Role: Registered Manager

Location: Homes in Nottingham with regular travel to other Nottinghamshire YMCA sites

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000pa plus additional payments for mileage and being on-call

The YMCA is growing, expanding its services in and outside of Nottinghamshire. We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Care Manager to support the on-going development of our Children’s Residential Homes Service.  Our homes for children aged 12-17 offer round the clock support for just 2 or 3 children, providing positive experiences in nurturing environments.

Providing management and leadership for the residential service team, you will be responsible for the homes’ maintenance, quality assurance, budgets and financial reports. The success of this role will depend upon ensuring residents are included as fully as possible in decisions affecting them. Skilled in handling conflict and managing sensitive issues, you will also excel in creating the best possible environment for children and young people to achieve their potential.

A minimum of 2 years recent residential childcare experience, 1 year’s management experience and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services are essential for this post. Your expert knowledge of policies, legislation, guidance and best practice will ensure the physical and safety needs of children and young people are met.
