Senior Road Programme Manager - Midlands Connect

36 hours per week

Fixed Term until 31 March 2020

We have an outstanding opportunity for a highly credible, reliable and experienced Programme Manager within the road sector who is being sought to help shape and drive forward regionally/nationally important roads projects as set out in the Midlands Connect Transport Strategy.

About Us

It is an exciting time at Midlands Connect. We are the pan-Midlands partnership of local and combined authorities, local enterprise partnerships and business representatives working with the Department for Transport and its key delivery bodies. The partnership forms the transport component of the Midlands Engine, which is delivering economic growth, and improving productivity and prosperity across the region.

Together, the Midlands Connect Partnership and the Department for Transport have developed a transport strategy that identifies the major infrastructure projects needed to improve the connectivity of our region's key locations so we can help drive economic growth and power the Midlands Engine. We are also on a journey to become one of the first Sub-national transport bodies, giving the Midlands a much greater say over transport strategy and investment.

About the Role

As our new Senior Road Programme Manager, you will lead the development of high-profile roads-based transport planning projects across the Midlands Connect strategy programme. In doing so you will be expected to manage complex interfaces between multiple agencies, stakeholders and other programmes.

This will be an exciting and substantive role. Success within the role could lead to career development opportunities with this thriving organisation.
