Better systems and higher standards right across the board: our IT transformation programme is giving students and staff the power to do more. With technology creating more possibilities for all at Bath Spa University, we need a brilliant people person to provide outstanding 1st line support.
With a stunning campus, friendly culture and roots in the Victorian era, our University is unlike any other. Here, we push students to find their place. To throw themselves in. To explore options and make things happen. And for that, they need the best IT we can offer. To introduce this innovative digital technology, we need people from all backgrounds. And we’re committed to providing an environment where everyone – whoever they are and wherever they’re from – will have the same opportunities to excel. If you have the skills and ambition, we’ll recognise and reward them.
Your role
You’ll be the first point of contact for all queries, calls and contact. You’ll do your best to solve the problem, but escalate it if you can’t. It’s important that every call is logged – and that callers are aware of our self-service IT portal. You’ll pride yourself on giving great customer service and enjoy dealing with all kinds of people.
About you
You should have worked in a busy customer service role, ideally in IT. With this background, you understand the importance of giving first-class assistance every time. Professional, good with people and great in a team, you listen carefully and use your communication skills to discuss issues with both technical staff and non-specialists. If you also have a keen eye for detail which helps you log calls with care, you could soon be a key member of our Bath Spa University IT team.
