Job Specification

Job Title: Sales and Procurement consultant

Reports to: Departmental manager

Purpose:
To manage and develop a database of suppliers to meet the companies targeted growth within a specified sector.

Contacts:
Regular contact with customers, Off takers, service providers and Suppliers. Internal Directors, Managers and colleagues. Personnel from associated companies.

General;
Responsibilities and duties; (but not limited to)
Generate leads using existing methods and any preapproved suggestions
Maintain a database by recording relevant activities.
Act responsibly and in consideration of all relevant regulated authorities.
Act responsibly and in consideration of all company protocols and procedures
Answering calls efficiently including lunchtime, holiday and sickness cover, taking messages and forwarding on to relevant people where necessary
Assisting with the coordination and logistics of daily product movements
Input data into relevant company software packages to generate invoices from sales
Dealing with customer or internal requests efficiently and responding to customers in a timely manner
Provide holiday cover across the department when necessary

Skills/Knowledge;
IT Literate including Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook
Written and oral English and Mathematics to a minimum GCSE standard
Office Sales and/or Administrative Experience or Educated to degree level standard
Full Driving Licence
Awareness of general environmental Legislation
Awareness of company values
