Head of HR

Are you an HR professional looking to lead an HR function whilst influencing at a strategic level?

Waddington Brown is working in partnership with this established, independent and highly successful organisation based on the Essex/Suffolk border to recruit an experienced HR generalist who has a track record of leading a successful HR operation at the same time delivering change. Reporting into the CEO and operating as a key member of the executive team you will play a lead role in shaping the future of the organisation.

With full responsibility of the HR function specific areas of responsibility will include:

• Developing the people strategy in line with strategic direction of the organisation incorporating its vision and objectives.
• Implementing HR initiatives and projects to improve efficiency and performance throughout the organisation.
• Managing industrial relations, undertaking the more complex employee relations issues whilst leading negotiations with the Unions.
• Effectively leading and managing the HR Department, acting as a source of expertise and actively engaging in day to day operations.
• Developing the internal communications strategy to support the changing needs of the organisation.

The successful candidate will have proven experience at a senior level within HR, be able to demonstrate strong leadership along with outstanding stakeholder management skills; being prepared to challenge and demonstrating the drive to make things happen. CIPD qualified with an in-depth knowledge of employment law you will embrace change and use your initiative to offer creative solutions.
