JOB TITLE: Warehouse Operative
LOCATION: Masham, near Ripon, North Yorkshire
REFERENCE: TSLGJ1330
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP7.90 - GBP9.70 per hour but will depend on skills and experience - other benefits include profit share and pension
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturdays 8am to 12noon
THE COMPANY: Our client is a family run company supplying animal feed and a large range of agricultural supplies to farmers and animal keepers throughout the region. Their depot is based in Masham, near Ripon, North Yorkshire.
THE ROLE: The role of the Warehouse Operative is required to help in all aspects of warehouse and shop operation.
Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Operative to include:-
• Customer service
• Loading vehicles with fork truck and manual handling a wide range of stock items.
• Unloading deliveries and restocking warehouse.
• Stock control and warehouse and yard organisation and hygiene.
• Operation of grass seed mixing plant.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate must consider themselves physically fit and in general good health due to the physically demanding nature of the role. Our client is looking for someone that is customer focussed with ideally some agricultural knowledge. You must have a cheerful attitude, work well under pressure and adaptable and a team player. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable and adaptable. There may be the occasional use of computers and till so any experience with these will be desirable although not essential.
Key experience essential for the role of Warehouse Operative based in Masham, near Ripon, North Yorkshire:
• Will live within a commutable distance of Masham (Ripon, Thirsk, Northallerton)
• Must have experience working in a warehouse environment previously
• Some Agricultural knowledge is desirable but not essential
• A valid forklift licence will be a bonus but not essential as full training can be given
• It will be helpful if the candidate is computer literate as there may be occasional use
