Accountant / Finance Manager

Our client is a privately owned, profitable engineering company, seeking to recruit an Accountant, due to the impending retirement of the present incumbent.

The Accountant will have day-to-day responsibility for accountancy and finance, with oversight and support from the Finance Director.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

*Accounts Payable
*Accounts Receivable
*Invoice Discounting
*Bank Reconciliations
* Foreign Bank Accounts
*Credit Control
*Monthly Payroll for 100 staff
*Management Accounts


Skills

You should have at least 5-years' experience of working in an accounting department, and ideally will hold a professional qualification (AAT or alike) or be part qualified or qualified by experience. Payroll experience is essential. You will be confident in the use of Excel spreadsheets and ideally have experience of various accountancy software packages. You should also ideally have experience of operating an invoice discounting facility, but this is not essential. Accuracy, reliability and attention to detail are considered essential qualities.
