We are looking for someone with initiative and enthusiasm to join our team and take up this fantastic opportunity to contribute to the continuous development of the Grounds service on the Keele University Campus

You must have a good horticultural background, an interest in plants and solid experience of grounds maintenance work. You should also be self-motivated and have good organisational skills.

About the role:

You will be a member of the grounds maintenance team responsible for delivering excellent standards throughout the University campus. Your work will ensure the biodiversity, longevity and overall success of the grounds provision at Keele.

About you:

You will have an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Horticulture, or equivalent relevant experience, a full, valid driving licence and the ability to operate horticultural machinery competently and safely.

You will have the proven ability to work effectively with other team members but also to be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

You will be willing to partake in training to develop your skills and be required to participate in out of hours works when required as per the University’s needs.

As a representative of the E&DD you will have excellent customer facing skills and a good understanding of how to deal with members of the public (stakeholders, students, residents and visitors) appropriately.
