The Business
We're looking for a Financial Intelligence Unit Specialist to join us in Edinburgh
  • If you can speak fluent Russian or Arabic in addition to English, this role is in the Specialised Enhanced Due Diligence (SEDD) team of our Financial Intelligence Unit
  • You'll be responsible for producing high quality SEDD reports and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders across the bank and externally in order to contribute to the overall mitigation of financial crime risk

What you'll do

You'll be responsible for producing high quality SEDD reports which support the business areas in understanding the risk profile of current or future clients.

Your role will involve:
  • Producing reports for a range of audiences, including senior managers and executives
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Supporting colleagues by coaching, sharing best practice and providing guidance
  • Providing expert and specialist advice on intelligence and SEDD products and services

The skills you'll need

We're looking for a fluent Russian or Arabic speaker with experience of producing high quality products for senior stakeholders across the bank. An Anti Money Laundering qualification - such as a Diploma in AML or from the Association of Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialists - would be an advantage, although we'll also consider you if you're willing to work towards achieving a qualification.

We'll also be looking for you to demonstrate:
  • Fluency in English in addition to your other language skills
  • Strong knowledge pertaining to financial crime and money laundering
  • Well developed analytical skills
  • The ability to work effectively with key stakeholders, including when negotiating challenging conversations
  • Strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently

While not essential a degree in International Relations, International Business or a related field would also be an advantage.
