JRS are currently recruiting for a Geotechnical Support Engineer to join our thriving client to assist with their growth.

As a Geotechnical Support Engineer, you will be working within a team of engineers who are experts in their field. You will be able to travel to client locations nationally and internationally providing onsite support. This is an excellent opportunity to put skills into practice and be a vital part of our successful client's business.

Duties to include (but not limited to)
• Working within the engineering department providing assembly and testing of orders ready for despatch
• Ensuring that product manuals are maintained and prepared for customer orders
• In-house testing and calibration of products
• Working on internal procedures ensuring that they are prepared, maintained and
• implemented correctly
• Providing customer support/problem solving both internally, over the telephone and on location at customer sites
• Ensuring documentation regarding quality control is updated and recorded correctly
• Installing company equipment at client premises, nationally and internationally, and providing the relevant training for this equipment

Required Skills
• Civil/Geotechnical Engineering degree or similar
• Experience of working within a laboratory environment and writing of literature or technical papers preferred
• Ability to communicate at all levels both written and verbally
• Understanding of electronics/electrical components and systems in order to solve software, mechanical and electrical issues
• Ability to work to own deadlines, manage time and prioritise workload
• Experience of working with Microsoft packages and the ability to interpret data and write reports
• Able to carry out business travel both UK and overseas
