Community Project Officer (ref: SUS2382)

GBP24,204 pro rata per annum

30 hours per week - contract to 10 April 2019 - based in Bridgwater

This is a new role which will be part of the design and engineering team involved in a community led project in Sydenham, Bridgwater, in partnership with the People's Health Trust. The successful candidate will inspire residents through the delivery of community led initiatives, and will include planning, promoting and facilitating sessions with communities and stakeholders, seeking comments and ideas from local residents on how neighbourhood spaces can be improved.

With a good standard of education, you will have experience of effective delivery of community engagement activities, of partnership working and of leading and delivering group workshops or facilitation. Your excellent written and verbal communications skills will enhance your ability to develop productive working relationships and motivate and influence others. You will also have the ability to be proactive, organised and efficient, have good IT, administrative and documenting skills and have a knowledge of the local area. You will also be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport. An Enhanced DBS disclosure check is mandatory for this role.
