Location Glasgow

At Barclays, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Strategic & Regulatory Projects Business Support in the Global Market Operations team.

This team is the engine responsible for ensuring the execution and servicing of all products and services. Their core objective is to deliver service excellence by executing our process in the safest and most efficient way.

In this role, you will manage business engagement relationships (Trading, Sales, Business Management, OCS etc.) while proactively supporting delivery of enhancements to the Securities Settlements/Asset servicing operating model and infrastructure, in partnership with our key internal and external stakeholders. You will also support delivery of solutions to our FO business partners that improve the overall service being provided by Securities Settlements and Asset Servicing.

Your Role

Experienced functional team member committed to developing a culture of transparency, integrity and collaboration where all team members are motivated and inspired to deliver the required outcome, taking into account risk and process optimisation factors.

Track record of successfully demonstrating an excellent level of service in a large-scale, Matrix organization whilst awareness of cost control agenda.

Ability to work within and contribute to a diverse global workforce through rapid change and/in periods of uncertainty.

Ability to work collaboratively to support strategy, execute change and resolve issues across multiple initiatives.

Posses a high degree of commercial acumen and is focused on shareholder value.

Strong interpersonal and communications skills to influence the cross-functional groups/forums, the global Matrix and external stakeholders.

Builds trust through credible use of facts and data and possess ability to creatively resolve problems and issues at pace.

Strong client focus, always puts customer satisfaction first. Track record of maintaining effective customer relations and service program through delivery of SLA's.

Essential Skills

Experience of leading elements of operational change initiatives.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously managing challenging stakeholders and deadlines.

Experience producing MI for senior business stakeholders with a high level understanding of the trade life cycle and functions.

Experienced AVP with a minimum of 5 years working within the Operations function of a top tier investment bank.

Desirable Skills

Knowledge of securities markets including their rules and nuances.

Knowledge of Asset Servicing flows.

Experience of working on large scale strategic and regulatory projects.

Experience of working with a third party vendor
