Accommodation Manager / Lettings Manager/ Clearing House Manager (Homelessness)

London

£35,075 - £38,918 per annum

37.5 hours per week

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and motivational individual to join St. Mungo’s as the Manager of the Clearing House assessment and accommodation allocations service.

The Clearing House service coordinates the RSI partnership, providing access to supported social housing for clients with a history of rough sleeping. The aim is to maintain and strengthen existing partnerships across the sector, delivering an assessment and allocations service which meets the need of our clients and partners, and thereby offering an essential  accommodation option for those leaving hostels and other homelessness services. This is a high profile service commissioned by the GLA, with the opportunity to promote best practice in the sector and work on a unique project which is at the centre of London’s response to rough sleeping.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a small, high performing team, managing a budget, building strong relationships with other organisations, dealing with challenges, ensuring that systems are fit for purpose and producing regular reports to commissioners.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of the needs of vulnerable people and experience of managing or coordinating a team in either the homelessness or housing sectors. The ability to manage complex computerised recording systems is also required.  We are seeking someone who is able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines whilst creating a supportive environment for staff and placing the vulnerable people for whom we work at the centre of the service. The candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to provide creative solutions and make best use of resources.

In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and initiatives to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.

This is a permanent opportunity, however, we will be happy to hear from applicants who would like to be considered on a 4 day per week (0.8 FTE) basis. Please apply as normal and indicate on your application if a reduced hours arrangement is your preference.

Please note this job is known as “Clearing House Manager” internally.

Closing Date: 10am, 27 April 2018

Interview and Assessment date: 8 May 2018

Please be advised that all appointments will be made on St Mungo’s current standard Terms and Conditions (T&Cs); this also applies to any internal candidates.

At St Mungo’s, equality, diversity and inclusion are central to the organisation's values and how we work.
