Customer Service Supervisor
We have an excellent opportunity available in Chelmsford for someone who is looking to move into Office based work, or further extend their experience in this field. The role is based in the ever-growing Automotive Industry and is working for one of the most recognised and reputable names in the business, proven with multiple accolades including 'Best Employer'. They are looking for a new Supervisor to join their team in a purpose built Business Development Centre, just above their immaculate showroom.
As a Supervisor, it would be your responsibility to lead by example in the Business Development Centre and monitor a group of 8 to 9 Customer Service Advisors. This would include all duties they have, such as up-selling, converting new business, retaining previous business and providing a first class service throughout, however you would also have added duties to oversee. This would include providing guidance and motivation to the team to ensure targets and met and the company's reputation is upheld. You will also need to analyse your teams performance and have reviews on how they can improve if need be. As a Supervisor, your knowledge of products, processes and procedures must be perfect to ensure you can advise the team correctly or handle any calls if required. You will also be trusted to identify any issues or things that could be improved and then implement these improvements to their processes. You will also ensure the general smooth running of the office and plan effectively to ensure adequate resource availability at all times.
As mentioned above, the company is very reputable and this role is a great stepping stone into more office based or even sales roles. The company offers great progression and due to the nature of the business, there are many avenues you could explore! For this reason, our client is flexible with previous experience and they can look at candidates from a Retail Supervisor background as long as the role included some telephone based duties such as talking to customers about orders or making contact with different departments. It is preferable you have had some form of experience with selling which again can be in a retail environment and you will also need to be computer literate and confident with Word and Excel, as well as the ability to pick up new systems quickly. In terms of personal traits, they are looking for enthusiastic, engaging people who can keep morale high during the ups and downs of the day.
The Supervisor works on Shift Patterns and will work during their office hours on different shifts. The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturdays 8am to 5:30pm and Sundays 10am to 4pm.
In return, you will receive a basic salary of £17,000, with commission in place which could see you taking home £25,000 per annum. You will also receive a variety of other benefits including 23 days additional Holiday a year, Bank Holidays off, Pension Scheme and other benefits which are rewarded annually for length of service. You will also be working in a really nice working environment with a great team and progression available to you.
