They are currently experiencing significant growth in their Test and Trials team and are keen to expand further to recruit a number of Test and Trials Engineers, spanning a range of experience levels.
They are specifically looking to recruit into the following areas:
- Combat Systems
- Surface Systems
- Submarine Systems
Successful candidates will have demonstrable experience as a Weapons Engineer. A thorough understanding of Security is essential and a comprehensive and deep working knowledge of operations, safety and training is desirable.
These roles will be key and involve direct client liaison - acting as an intelligent customer, focussing on System and User Requirements with the overall aim of obtaining the best results for the customer.
Candidates would ideally have experience of Royal Navy Weapon Engineer Acceptance Tests and Trials but as a minimum should be able to confidently advise on correct procedures and policy. They will be expected to attend and support meetings, capture detail and define technical content and issues and should be confident in speaking and presenting to audiences at all levels.
Flexible and adaptable, candidates must be willing to work alone or as a team and willing to travel as required (there will be approximately 4-8 overnight stays a month depending on where the candidate is located).
The Company is looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:
- A Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent or HND/HNC with equivalent experience
- Engineering Management
- Be able to demonstrate a good level of understanding of military equipment operations, maintenance and support
- Be self-motivated and have a logical and pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Be articulate with professional presentational and written communication skills
- Be a confident individual able to lead a team or act independently with support from colleagues
- Be a member of an appropriate professional body and be proactive in managing his/her own professional CPD
- Eligible for UK security clearance
- Proven experience and training in Project Management techniques and methodologies (including Scheduling and Project Risk Management) would be desirable but not essential.
This role could also be based from our offices in Bath or Plymouth.
