CNC Machinist Roles - Turning, Bacup, Lancashire, Manufacturing Company

The Company is dedicated to the medical industry and is a world leader in the development and supply of both implantable grade plastics and also biocompatible plastics for instrument applications.

The CNC Machinist - Turner Role:

• Program, set and operate various 3,4 & 5 axis turning centres with various controls
• Machining high quality, close tolerance replacement prosthetics components
• Utilising Cad/Cam programmes
• Conducting physical and visual checks on medical components, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials/parts
• Working towards client-specific and high quality production
• Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to
• Ensure that all products are thoroughly quality checked
• Provide technical support and training to apprentices

The Ideal Candidate:

• Our machines have Fanuc and Mazatrol operating systems, the candidate must have experience of programming, setting & operating both systems
• Autocad experience would be an advantage
• Computer literacy
• Health & Safety procedures
• Mechanical aptitude
• Conversion of measurement from imperial to metric
• Previous experience in a manufacturing/engineering role

Hours of Work:

Permanent Early Shift: 06 to 14 Monday to Thursday, 06 to 12 Friday including breaks

Or

Permanent Back Shift: 14 to 22 Monday to Thursday, 11 to 16 Friday including breaks
