We have a fantastic opportunity for a Major Gifts Fundraiser to manage the day to day management of major donor fundraising for an inspiring charity, widely regarded as a local hero within the Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire region. 20 hours per week. 16,800 - 18,000 pro rata.The CharityA leading charity which serves the communities of Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. With a new CEO, Director of Fundraising and fundraising strategy, this is an exciting time to be joining the charity.The RoleIdentify and prepare in-depth research and briefs on potential major donors.Manage a portfolio of supporters which includes identifying, researching and qualifying potential prospects, and creating appropriate plans to develop prospects into lifelong donors.Plan, manage and deliver major donor cultivation and stewardship events; visits and meetings with existing supporters and new prospects, to develop and enhance relationships.Develop and write tailored case for support and proposals for funding, and develop bespoke communications, including delivering pitches and presentations when required.Work collaboratively with the Fundraising Team and senior management to identify and solicit donors to secure major gifts.Work across the charity, including with Senior Management, Operations, Clinical and Communication teams, to collaboratively create exciting and impactful projects for funding, reports and stewardship opportunities.Identify potential media stories, cross-selling opportunities (such as with Corporate, Trusts or Legacy relationships) and distribute major donor fundraising stories and articles through appropriate channels effectively and regularly.The CandidateThis is an excellent opportunity for a fundraiser with a good track record of income generation from Nigh Net Worth individuals. Proven experience of cultivating cold prospects, making the ask and an ability to build and maintain relationships with new and existing supporters is essential.Minimum 2 years experience in a major gift roleA proven track record of successful income generation through major donors/high net worth individualsA proven track record of cultivating cold prospects, making the ask, and building and maintaining relationships with new and existing funders through an effective relationship based approach to fundraisingDeveloping high quality case for support and/or tailored proposals for fundingInfluencing, convincing or negotiating skills to secure significant giftsDevising and implementing planning, monitoring and evaluation processes for major donor fundraising, including eventsIMPORTANT NOTEOur aim is to respond to all successful applications within 5 days.
