Onboarding Manager


Ensuring all campus recruits are successfully issued contracts, are screened to the required levels (in some cases certified), set up on internal systems such as SAP and positioned correctly on the Barclays Organisation Structure. Lead the Operation Analysts to make extensions of assignments, supporting the rotation of recruits around the business and ensuring successful IT requests. As the on-boarding manager, you will be accountable for the delivery of this service.

Lead the Risk Governance and Control agenda for the Graduate Recruitment & Development team including budget management.

Your Role

The Lead Operations Manager is responsible in ensuring interns and graduates are on-boarded in a timely manner and in line with internal and external policies, working in partnership with key business areas in establishing best practice and ensuring a high quality end-to-end process.

This is a challenging and pivotal role, requiring exceptional operational and organisational skills and a clear desire and motivation to deliver, through our processes and systems, to our interns and graduates.

Lead the Risk Governance and Control agenda for the Graduate Recruitment & Development team including budget management.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in an on-boarding function.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • The right candidate will be action-orientated with a focus on continuous improvement and business management.
  • Will be innovative and self-motivated, with the ability to deliver quality results with a challenging but positive and influential style.
  • Strong levels of attention to detail.
  • They will demonstrate a logical and structured approach to achieving desired outcomes along with excellent written and oral communication with ability to communicate across all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills are essential to the role, as well as the ability to work as part of a team including virtual team models.

  • Process driven and good understanding of Risk and Governance
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Well organised and can work under pressure during the peak of recruitment season
  • Display high integrity and trust due to the sensitive nature of information handled, and be able to build rapid trust and confidence in clients, colleagues and teams alike.
