Our client is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, which works in the public interest. Their mission is to develop Standards that bring transparency, accountability and efficiency to financial markets around the world. Their work serves the public interest by fostering trust, growth and long-term financial stability in the global economy.

The Foundation is a stimulating and challenging place to work. They have around 150 staff, mainly based in London, drawn from nearly 30 nationalities covering roles in technical accounting, operational and support functions.

Position: Technical Accountants- Financial Instruments
Location: London (within walking distance of Mansion House underground station, moving to Canary Wharf in August 2018)
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: competitive, dependant on experience

About the Role:

They are looking technical accountants with experience of accounting for financial instruments to join their staff.

You will support the delivery of the IASB's financial instruments projects, and respond to issues arising from the implementation of IFRS 9

About You:

To be considered for this role previous experience of applying or interpreting our clients Standards or other GAAP, particularly accounting for financial instruments along with technical report writing experience.

The ability to ability to understand complex financial reporting issues is essential and strong analytical and numerical skills are required.

You will have excellent skills in spoken and written English communication, a strong team ethic, with the facility to work effectively and collaboratively with individuals at all levels.

You will need to have a positive attitude; a high degree of integrity and professionalism with a commitment to the organisation's objectives and to the ideals of standard-setting in the public interest.

You may have experience of the following: Technical Accountant, IFRS Standards, GAAP, IFRS 9, Financial Reporting, Financial Instruments, Regulator, Accountancy, CFA etc.
