South Norfolk Council has exciting opportunities for Kids Camp Assistant/Supervisor to join the team based in Wymondham.  You will work casual hours and you will be offered a competitive salary of £7.83 to £9.71 per hour.

Positions are available for the Supervisor, Coordinator and Assistant role within our successful Ofsted registered childcare provision, Kids Camp, which operates during the school holidays. 

The Kids Camp Assistant/Supervisor role;

As a Kids Camp Supervisor you will be involved with working with the Kids Camp Manager to meet Ofsted requirements and standards, complying with Kids Camp policies and ensuring that the health and safety of children is kept at a high standard at all times.  Your duties will include, planning, preparing and delivering programmes which include sport and non-sport activities, making sure that the venue is kept safe for the children and all times. You will also be responsible for the Kids Camp Assistants in the Leisure Centre.

The Assistant job roles involve making sure parents and children are welcomed into the Leisure Centres at the start of every day.  You will be responsible for monitoring the children you are working with at all times, engaging with them throughout the day and resolving issues as they arise alongside other members of staff and parents. You will also assist the Kids Camp Supervisor in fulfilling their daily responsibilities as necessary.

The ideal Kids Camp Assistant/Supervisor will have the below skills and experience:

As our supervisor you will have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in childcare alongside recent experience of working with children and young people in a play work setting. You will need to demonstrate you have good interpersonal skills, can organise activities, manage workloads, and work effectively in a small team to ensure all customers receive an excellent service. To be eligible for the coordinator role you must have a minimum of a level 3 qualification in childcare, for the Assistant role a level 2 qualification is required.

For the roles of Kids Camp Assistant/Supervisor, you will need to demonstrate you have good interpersonal skills, can organise activities, manage workloads, and work effectively in a small team to ensure all customers receive an excellent service.
