Housing Assistant – Older Peoples Services
12 month Temporary Contract from date of appointment (with the possibility of an extension)
Based at Careline, Parsonage Court, Loughton
Salary: £15,807 to £16,781 per annum (rising to £17,072 per annum after five years continuous service) plus £840 Inner London Fringe Allowance per annum
36 hours a week Monday - Friday

YES? Then you could be the person we are looking for. In the absence of the Scheme Manager you would be visiting older people across the district living in sheltered accommodation and other dwellings designed for the elderly ensuring their well-being. You will also be undertaking various duties relating to the Scheme Manager’s role as well as assessing people’s suitability for sheltered housing. Another important part of this post will involve installing telecare alarms and testing equipment. This is a varied job for a flexible person, who is willing to assist in many functions relating to the Council’s busy Older Peoples Services Section. Administration and record keeping is required.
You must hold a current full driver’s licence and own a car, an essential user car allowance will be payable.
