About the opportunity:

This is an opportunity to build a function from the ground up, creating and implementing the metrics, mapping the relationships, building the framework for a business development function and developing a Business development strategy, identifying the gaps, creating content, developing roadshows, conducting client satisfaction surveys, pipeline management and ultimately being the conduit for FTI resources to the private equity community.

This role will be client facing, leading the development and pursuit strategy, ensuring the team fully understands the client needs and can clearly articulate the benefits of FTI's Business Transformation and Transactions expertise???unlocking the value of experts with impact. Structuring and conducting client interviews, getting underneath the surface of the clients decision making, unlocking the reasons behind winning or losing a pitch and constantly feeding that back as a coach to the team as to how better prepare for the next pitch or what really worked in the last pitch and how we can learn from that and adopt and adapt going forward. Constantly refining the approach strategy, frequently presenting ideas to the Private Equity community, filtering the chat on social media, keeping abreast of the latest news in the industry, tracking investment spend, examining the deal flows in the market, joining the dots and maintaining momentum.

About the role:

You will lead and be responsible for providing a coordinated go-to-market strategy with respect to Private Equity clients. This includes driving key account activity, launching and executing high-impact go-to-market initiatives and leveraging best practices in account management.

As this is a newly created role, we are first and foremost looking for an individual who is motivated by the build aspect of a new function, designing and aligning the goals of the team, imbedding processes and metrics, building an effective communication platform and coaching the client teams to perform to the best of their ability and showcasing FTI consulting as an expert led advisory firm.


Ideally your early career foundation has been in an advisory capacity in either business transformation consulting, M&A or Private Equity from a top-tier advisory firm or bank. You will understand what private equity clients expect from a delivery team, how to prepare for a pitch, how to present to clients, how to articulate the value proposition that senior expert led teams can bring to private equity clients.

Key Responsibilities:

You will have had exposure to key account management, how to organise and co-ordinate teams around client needs, pipeline management, proposals, pitching, tracking account objectives, mapping relationships, identifying the gaps. Supported by a couple of analysts who can assist with research and profiling, the successful individual will take a lead on creating content and forums for think tanks and discussions around deals and market trends, always thinking about what is our angle on that deal, thinking about the next roadshow, constantly making noise, what excuse do we have to pick up the phone and pitch a fresh idea. Working tirelessly internally to meet new people and work out what they could bring to our private equity clients, a constant exchanging of ideas internally and externally.

The successful applicant will possess exceptional communication skills, influencing gumption, with a confident presence that can hold the attention of experts and investors, and be seen in the Private Equity community as someone in the know, and a go to person for FTI Consulting.

Education and Qualifications:
