Outreach Senior Support Worker For 16 - 25 Year Olds

A well established national organisation is now recruiting for Outreach Senior Support Worker in Taunton, Somerset. You will be supporting children & young people between 16 - 25 years old who are leaving the care system and need additional support to remain independent. You will work with people who come from neglected backgrounds, sexual exploitation and other traumatic situations who may have mental health, anti social behaviour and EBD so they will display challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- Help co-ordinate the shifts
- Update risk assessments, health & safety checks, care and support plans
- Conduct 121 staff meetings
- Ensuring spot checks are completed
- Line manage the support workers

Qualifying candidates:
- Must have previous senior experience working with Children & Young People or challenging behaviour
- Must have a driving license with your own car
- You will be required to add Business insurance to your insurance
- Cover support staff in Taunton area (you will be working out in the field)
- All interviews will be held in the head office in Bristol so you must travel here for interview
- The correct candidate will need to have a Diploma / NVQ / QCF level 2 or above in:
* Children & Young People`s Workforce
* Health & Social Care in Children
* Health & Social Care in Social Care Pathway
* Caring for Children & Young People
* Residential Childcare
WE DO NOT accept Health and Social Care in Adults.

Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £19,486 and upto £23,126 with sleep-ins per annum = £9 an hour
- You may do 1 or 2 sleep-in per week which are paid at £35 per sleep = an extra £1,820 - £3,640 per year
- Shift patterns vary but typically are between 7am - 11pm and sleeps are 11pm till 7am.
- You will work 40 hours per week between Mondays to Fridays + alternative weekends
- Mileage is paid at 25p per mile
