Job Title: Property Services Officer (Ref: PSO)

Based: Olton, Solihull,

Salary: circa £25,000 to £28,000 pa

Job Role:

The Organisation is a local charity with a proud history of over 150 years of supporting people in need. They provide safe, secure, affordable and well maintained sheltered accommodation, residential care and extra care housing for adults in their older age and grants, education and support to young people from disadvantaged communities.

During their 150th year, they enter an exciting new period of growth and development and following a restructure, they are looking for a Property Services Officer.

They are looking for a proactive, hands on individual who will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive repairs service to the Trust. They will manage a planned maintenance programme, ensuring that the fixed assets of the organisation are maintained to the highest possible standard and comply with legislative requirements. The post holder will also be the lead officer within the organisation on all Health and Safety matters on behalf of the residents, staff and general public, keeping fully up-to-date with new relevant legislation.

Key Skills:

  • The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar role at a similar level;
  • A working knowledge of budgets and financial statements;
  • A good understanding of health and safety legislation, risk assessments, safe working practices, method statements etc.
  • Applicants should be professional, self-motivated team players who are sensitive to the needs of older people.
  • As the posts involve caring for vulnerable adults, two employment references and an enhanced DBS check will be taken up for the successful candidate.
