Part Time Caretaker
The successful candidate will join the Premises team, a busy and committed team. The person appointed will assist with the general upkeep and maintenance of the College grounds and buildings together with general caretaking duties. The main responsibilities of the Premises team are security, maintenance and cleanliness of the College. The Caretakers undertake small works projects and repairs, which are logged using the Premises help desk database. The team oversees and undertakes the porterage of goods to all areas of the College. There is also a significant amount of preparing and setting up of rooms for different uses both during the week and at weekends.
You will be working with the other members of the Premises team during the week, as well as on your own on a Saturday. You will need to be able to respond to requests at short notice and have a very flexible approach to managing your workload. You will need to be physically fit as a degree of lifting and carrying is necessary in this role. You will wear appropriate clothing when carrying out tasks so that Premises uniform looks clean and presents a professional image.
