Technical Assistant/Skipper

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, practical individual to join the Hydrographic Survey division of an Irvine based survey company as a Technical Assistant/Skipper.

Demonstrable boat experience is essential to the role: an RYA qualification (or equivalent) would be advantageous but training can be provided to suitable candidates with relevant skills. A full driving licence is also required.

The position will involve boat handling, towing and maintenance and assisting with survey operations. Training will be provided in the specific operation of specialist survey equipment but a degree of technical knowledge and ability is required.

The successful candidate must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, the local area. Due to the nature of the work, a flexible approach to working hours (including working evenings and weekends when required) is essential, as is a willingness to stay away when necessary.
