Our client is looking to recruit a Finance and Accounts Officer to be based in Cambridge.   The Finance and Accounts Officer Main Duties will include:

You will work collaboratively with the CEO and other members of the Leadership & Management Team. In particular, as Finance Officer you will be responsible for: •           General bookkeeping and implementation of financial processes using our Sage accounting and payroll software packages, maintaining up-to-date and properly organised accounts. •           Managing other finance team members to maintain the finance policies, procedures, books and records of Romsey Mill Trust and any related interests. •           Supporting the operations, with project and fund reporting, annual budgeting and other business performance assistance. •           Efficient quarter-end procedures and finance/ management reporting to CEO and Trustees. •           Preparation of the published annual financial statements.   The Finance and Account Officer skills and experience will include:

 

o          Strong GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications including English & Maths. o          Further qualified to minimum Level 5. o          Bookkeeping or accounting qualification (e.g. AAT certificate or diploma). o          Strong financial and administrative capabilities. o          Good working knowledge of and experience using a bookkeeping/accounting software package. o          Experience of processing sales and purchase ledger, posting to journals, bank reconciliations. o          Working knowledge of managing the processing of payroll. o          Skilled in use of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables). o          Confident in use of Microsoft Office and other software systems. o          Strong organisational skills. o          Proven experience in managing and improving finance systems. o          Excellent time and task management skills and experience in handling multiple tasks to meet deadlines.   The Organisation:

They work with participants to develop their skills and to enable their progress towards training, work and positive involvement in the community.   In return you will receive the following salary package:    Minimum of 22.5 hours (0.6 FTE) and maximum of 30 hours (0.8FTE)   Salary Range: £27,668 to £28,485 (pro-rata)   Permanent Contract   Closing Date: 5pm on Thursday 3rd May 2018   Interview date: Thursday 10th May 2018
