Business Development Manager – Energy Asset Management 
Chester, Cheshire

Our client is an established company that provides high quality products and services to power networks across the globe. They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team.

As the Business Development Manager, you’ll maximise sales of our client’s asset management solutions within the energy sector, initially with the primary focus on the Asset Management Policy, Strategic Asset Management and Power System Consultancy. 

Joining the Strategy & Interventions arm of the business, you’ll target and secure new customers and business opportunities. You’ll build strong relationships with new and existing customers and promote the benefits of our client’s solutions. 

Specifically, your duties will involve: 

- Writing tenders and proposals 
- Reviewing and negotiating contracts 
- Defining and overseeing a marketing plan to support business development activities 
- Developing marketing material and case studies 
- Ensuring an effective handover to the Project Delivery Team 
- Attending and networking at conferences and industry forums 

Interested? To be considered, you’ll need previous sales experience. A results-driven approach and excellent communication skills are also key. 

As the Business Development Manager, you’ll be tenacious, collaborative and eager for a new challenge. You’ll also possess superb negotiation skills, as well as a strong work ethic and excellent time-management abilities. 

Ideally, you’ll have an understanding of the electrical networks, electricity asset management, renewable energy sectors and software sales.
