Production Manager – BD Living

Our Furnishings division, BD Living provide furnishing solutions that will fit in with our customers’ homes perfectly.  This team supplies and fits storage and bedroom furniture, from cutting edge styles to contemporary classics.  Not just supporting our Customers, BD living also support our Sales and Marketing teams with a one stop shop, creating the layout and design of our marketing suites and completing the full fit-out of the suites across the country.

Summary of Role:

To ensure the day to day running of the Production Department and Production Team achieve production in

line with the Group’s Installation requirements.

What will I be Responsible for:

Lead the Production Team in day to day manufacturing activities ensuring all established KPI targets are met.

Ensure all manufacturing targets and delivery schedules are achieved in line with Group requirements.

Ensure all material stocks are readily available to service the Installation programme.

Ensure all SHE/Health & Safety legislation is implemented and adhered to in line with legislation and Group policy.

Carry out daily inspections and manage the performance of the Production Team to ensure continuous improvements.

Implement lean manufacturing principles to achieve budget requirements and targets.

Train, develop and identify training needs of the Production and Delivery Team.

Monitor waste and material usage of the manufacturing and production operation.

Effectively manage employee relations within the Production and Delivery Team as required.

Produce monthly reports on all relevant manufacturing activities and KPS’s for Board Meeting reporting.

Oversee the running of the Van fleet and Delivery Drivers in line with Division and Group requirements.

Play a pivotal role in continuous reorganisation of the Production Department to suit business needs as required.

Ensure manpower is managed within budget.

Have excellent knowledge and understanding of manufacturing and production processes.

Must be able to communicate on all levels in a professional and decisive manner.

Have awareness and experience of all H&S legislation and requirements.
