My client is seeking a driven, experienced Production Planner to join their hugely successful business based outside of Lincoln. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently, as well as part of a dynamic team. The Role:-
- Establishing sequence and time frame of manufacturing operations in order to meet customer requirements
- Review orders, distribution needs, plant capacity, overtime requirements and inventory before releasing schedules
- Responsible for short and long forecasts
- Maintaining the production schedule and other reports as required
- Using scheduling software to accurately and fully input new customer orders
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues across various departments and with Key Stakeholders
- Working to tight deadlines to ensure daily production requirements are achieved and customer orders are fulfilled
- Manage WIP stock levels to targeted levels set by Supply Chain Manager
- Ensure all systems contain clean and accurate data
- Effectively communicate all process plans and critical needs, ensuring they are explicitly and fully understood by crew leaders
The Ideal Candidate:-
- Excellent previous planning track record
- Strong commercial awareness
- Experience of using a planning system
- Excellent use of MS Office
- Able to make very good decisions, quickly and to stand by them
- Able to work with accuracy and fine attention to detail, particularly when under pressure
- Possesses a desire to understand customer and colleague requirements
- Uses initiative when approaching new tasks, tackling problems and prioritising workload

- Able to stand up in meetings and report on the production plan with confidence each day
Salary: £25,000
Hours: Full Time, Mon- Friday (Flexibility is a must)
